Events 2016

Regularly Scheduled Events:
The following events are typically held at the times listed, but patrons are encouraged to confirm that they will be held on any particular day.

Collaging 1-5pm on Tuesdays

Children’s Reading Hour, 4 p.m. on Wednesday  (with Corlis Carroll, starting in July)

Writing Group, 3 p.m. on Thursday NEW TIME!

AA meetings, 7.30 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday

Quaker Meeting, 9 a.m. on Sunday

Summer Reading Program for ages 8-14, ongoing, sign up at the Library!

 

MAY

1: Regular open hours begin: M-F 1-3

 

JUNE

1:  Summer Schedule begins: M-Sat 1-5

26: Mini-Golf Island-wide Tournament

 

JULY

9:  A Day with Richard Blanco!

Richard Blanco Q &A with Writers at 10:30am in the Library (advance sign up required)

Richard Blanco Poetry Reading at 7:30pm in the Church

Richard Blanco Book Signing to follow on the Church lawn, ~9pm

28: Poetry Jamboree   7:30pm in the Church

29: Book Discussion “A Month in the Country” by JL Carr, lead by Toni Seymour   7:30pm in the Library

20: Book Discussion “The Warden” by Anthony Trollope, lead by Kim Murdock  7:30pm in the Library

21: Poetry Reading by Kate Cheney Chappell, Judith Ponturo, Judy Grey and Catherine Morrocco   4pm in the Library

24: Mia Boynton CD Release Concert in the Library!   7pm, $2 suggested donation

OCTOBER

8: Moon Party!

Come celebrate International Observe the Moon Night at the Library! There will be snacks and moon fact sheets and we’ll look at the moon together!

 

31: Haunted House! Come to the Library for some spooky snacks…if you dare!
